Relazioni internazionali

Tuition fees for Relazioni internazionali are 150 EUR per year.

International relations examines how states, international organisations, and other actors interact on the global stage, covering topics such as diplomacy, security, international law, global political economy, and foreign policy. A master's programme in the field typically builds on undergraduate study in political science, history, or a related social science, moving into more advanced theoretical and empirical approaches to understanding conflict, cooperation, and governance beyond national borders. Coursework often includes international organisations, human rights, regional studies, and methods for analysing political and economic data, alongside opportunities to focus on specific regions or policy areas. Graduates in international relations pursue careers in diplomatic services, international organisations, government ministries, and non-governmental organisations working on foreign policy, humanitarian, or development issues. Others move into international business, journalism, think tanks, or research roles analysing political risk and global affairs. The analytical and communication skills developed through the study of international relations, including the ability to interpret complex political situations and write clearly about them, are also valued in adjacent fields such as public policy and international law. This two-year International Relations master's programme is offered by Università degli Studi di Catania, in the city of Catania, Italy, and is taught in English. As a master's-level programme, it presumes students already hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Delivering the course in English is intended to make advanced study of global politics accessible to an international student body based in Sicily, within a broader university that also offers programmes across the sciences and humanities.
