Bachelor in Klassische Philologie/Gräzistik Bachelor

In the Graezistik programme, you will read the great texts of the Greek Antike from Homer to the Spätantike, analysing their influence on today’s culture. While many associate ancient Greek with a language without present relevance, it underpins much of European thought and culture, from philosophy to science. You will develop valuable skills, including language logic, argumentation, and source criticism, that are in demand in today’s media and knowledge transfer professions. The programme is structured around three core areas: language, literature, and culture, with a fourth area that allows for specialisation. Students benefit from small class sizes with close contact to instructors, and are not expected to have prior knowledge of Greek.
