In this programme, students start with modules like Einführung in die Künstliche Intelligenz, which covers fundamental concepts, methods, and applications of artificial intelligence. The curriculum combines mathematical, statistical, and informatics foundations of AI and Data Science, intertwining them with real-world economic and societal applications. The program includes three specializations: Data Science, General AI, and Business Informatics, with a mandatory focus on ethics. The Faculty of WIAI and the Institute for Statistics support the programme, ensuring a research-oriented environment with centers like the Bamberg Center for Artificial Intelligence (BaCAI) and the Center for Innovative Applications in Informatics (ZIAI).

Students will work with both datadriven machine learning and logical reasoning, developing neuro-symbolic hybrid systems. The programme is ideal for those with an interest in data analysis and interdisciplinary questions, even if they do not yet have programming skills. The curriculum emphasizes ethical considerations, ensuring that students develop a responsible approach to AI, and offers practical, theoretical, and methodological projects and seminars.
