    About Language Interpreter Training Program

    This programme prepares students to become professional spoken language interpreters. It focuses on developing skills for interpreting in legal, health care, and community settings. Students learn consecutive, sight, and simultaneous interpreting techniques. The program includes ethical standards and practical application in real-world scenarios.

    180 hours over 6 courses; courses must be taken in order; some courses may be offered online.

    Graduates are prepared to work as professional spoken language interpreters in legal, health care, and community sectors.

    Fully bilingual in English and another language. Prerequisites: ESL089, ESL934, or equivalent. English language skills must be assessed through ELL100.

    Part-time; courses offered online, in-person, hybrid, or flexible.
