Bachelor in Law Llb Hons

Tuition comes to 16,750 GBP per year, while applications for the Sep 2027 intake are due by Aug 31, 2027.

Law exists as the foundational framework for societal order, balancing individual liberties against collective security and commercial necessity. This LLB (Hons) programme immerses students in the intellectual rigour of legal study while prioritizing the practical application of law in the modern world. Designed by legal experts, the curriculum moves beyond abstract theory to engage with the actual mechanisms of justice, regulation, and human rights.

Students benefit from a distinctive block teaching approach, where they focus on one module at a time. This immersive method fosters deeper engagement with the subject matter and allows for continuous assessment, moving away from the pressure of high-stakes end-of-year exams. The learning environment is enhanced by state-of-the-art facilities, including a functioning mock courtroom and the historic 1821 Crown Court, providing a authentic space to develop advocacy and client-interviewing skills.

Professional Integration and Clinical Experience

• The Justice Clinic: A flagship initiative providing supervised, real-world legal advice to clients, serving as a hub for social justice on campus.
• Industry Connectivity: Students have access to the Law Lab Enterprise, Bar Futures Programme, and the Law Link Mentorship Scheme, connecting them directly with legal professionals.
• Global Perspective: Opportunities exist to undertake part of the programme at the DMU Dubai campus, broadening the scope of legal understanding.

Whether aiming for a career as a solicitor, barrister, or in the civil service, students are supported by an award-winning careers team that facilitates placements with major firms and global corporations, ensuring that graduates leave with both a degree and a robust professional identity.
