Graduates of the BA Liberal Arts move into a wide range of professions – from media, publishing and cultural organisations to law firms, NGOs, business and public service – and many continue to postgraduate study in specialised fields. The degree also helps students develop the strong analytical, communication and interdisciplinary thinking required for such roles.

The programme runs for three years. In the first year you complete two core modules worth 40 credits that introduce cross-disciplinary cultural investigation, alongside 80 credits of optional modules that allow you to begin shaping a major or minor. In later years you can focus on one major, combine a major with a minor, or continue a broader interdisciplinary study, culminating in a title that reflects your chosen specialism.
