Bachelor in Licence - Mathématiques

At Université de Rouen Normandie - Campus Sciences et Ingénierie, tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

The Licence - Mathématiques (Bachelor in Mathematics) at the Université de Rouen Normandie - Campus Sciences et Ingénierie in Saint-Étienne-du-Rouvray, France, is a three-year bachelor-level program in French, starting in September. Yearly tuition is 178 EUR. Mathematics programs at this level cover both pure and applied mathematics, building progressively from foundational topics to more abstract and specialized areas. Students study analysis, algebra, probability, statistics, geometry, and numerical methods, developing the capacity for precise logical reasoning and formal proof. As the program advances, students encounter topics such as differential equations, topology, and discrete mathematics. The approach moves from intuitive problem-solving toward rigorous mathematical argument, training students to formulate precise statements and verify them systematically. Regular problem sessions and written exercises are central to the learning process, and the program places a strong emphasis on individual mathematical work and the ability to reason independently. Students also gain tools in computational mathematics, which are applicable across science, engineering, and economics. The program equips graduates for a wide range of careers where quantitative and analytical skills are valued: actuarial science, data analysis, finance, engineering, and scientific research. Many graduates continue to master-level study in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or financial mathematics. The program is suited to students with strong analytical aptitude and a systematic approach to abstract reasoning.
