Bachelor in Licence - Philosophie

Tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

The Licence - Philosophie (Philosophy) at Université Bourgogne Europe in Dijon, France, is a three-year bachelor program taught in French. Philosophy as a university discipline involves the rigorous critical examination of fundamental questions about knowledge, existence, ethics, language, mind, and society. Students read and analyse major texts from ancient Greek thought through to contemporary philosophy, develop skills in constructing sustained arguments, identifying conceptual distinctions, and engaging with competing intellectual traditions. Philosophy training is highly transferable: graduates develop analytical precision, clear written and oral communication, and the capacity to reason carefully under uncertainty — abilities sought in law, consulting, journalism, education, public policy, civil service, and cultural management. Many graduates continue to master and doctoral study in philosophy, ethics applied to technology or medicine, or political theory. Dijon and Université Bourgogne Europe offer a strong humanities environment in the historic capital of Burgundy. The program begins in September, costs 178 EUR per year, and is delivered entirely in French.
