Bachelor in Licence - Philosophie

Tuition costs 178 EUR per year.

The Licence Philosophie is a three-year degree that develops systematic reasoning through the study of major philosophical traditions, canonical texts, and core branches of the discipline. Students engage with ancient and modern philosophy, metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of language, and logic. The program trains students to read difficult texts carefully, construct and evaluate arguments, and engage critically with fundamental questions about knowledge, existence, value, and justice. Offered at Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne in Paris, France, this bachelor-level program is conducted entirely in French across three years, beginning in September, at an annual tuition of 178 EUR. Philosophy graduates are found in teaching, law, public policy, journalism, publishing, consulting, and the civil service — fields that value rigorous analytical thinking and clear written communication. Many pursue a Master's in philosophy, ethics, logic, or political theory before entering academic or professional careers. The discipline's emphasis on argumentation and conceptual clarity translates into a wide range of intellectual and practical contexts.
