Bachelor in Licence - Sociologie

At Sorbonne université, tuition fees are 178 EUR per year.

The Licence - Sociologie (Sociology) is a three-year bachelor's degree at Sorbonne université in Paris, France, starting in September. Sociology degrees focus on the study of social structures, institutions, relationships and inequalities, drawing on both theoretical frameworks and empirical research methods to understand how societies function and change. Students encounter the classical sociological tradition — Durkheim, Weber, Marx and their successors — alongside contemporary theories of class, gender, race, migration, organisations, and cultural life. Quantitative and qualitative research methods are central to the curriculum, giving students practical tools for data collection, survey design, interviews, and statistical and interpretive analysis. Instruction is in French and tuition is 178 EUR per year. Over three years, students develop analytical and research skills applicable to a wide range of sectors. Graduates enter careers in social research, public policy, education, social work, human resources, NGOs, journalism, and local or national government. The degree also provides a solid foundation for master's study in sociology, social policy, demography, or related social sciences.
