Bachelor in Locations

At University of Plymouth, tuition comes to 28,600 GBP per year.

Graduates of this programme typically transition into roles as registered dental therapists and hygienists within both NHS and private dental practices, contributing directly to patient oral health and preventative care. The curriculum is meticulously crafted to produce clinicians capable of independent decision-making, equipped to thrive in multi-disciplinary teams alongside dentists and dental nurses.

Students gain hands-on expertise by rotating through a network of Peninsula Dental Education Facilities located across Devon and Cornwall. This immersive approach ensures that clinical training is integrated with real-world patient care from an early stage. You will study in a variety of settings, including:

• Main campus facilities at Portland Square for foundational learning.
• Specialised clinical environments in Plymouth, Exeter, and Truro.
• Simulated general practice clinics that mirror the authentic professional environment.

By blending academic theory with extensive clinical placements, you will develop the practical skills necessary to perform therapeutic and preventative treatments, ensuring you are practice-ready upon graduation.
