Istanbul University

Bachelor in Logistics Management

İstanbul, Turkey Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Logistics Management focuses on the planning, coordination, and control of the movement and storage of goods, materials, and information across supply chains. Students study supply chain management, transportation and distribution planning, warehousing, inventory control, procurement, and operations management, developing the analytical tools needed to design efficient logistics systems. Coursework often includes quantitative methods, business statistics, and information systems used to track and optimize the flow of goods from suppliers to end customers. Case studies and simulations are common teaching methods, allowing students to practice planning delivery networks, managing inventory levels, and responding to disruptions in supply chains. The program also introduces broader business subjects such as management, marketing, and international trade, since logistics decisions are closely tied to a company's overall strategy and cost structure. Graduates typically pursue careers in supply chain and logistics management, procurement, warehouse and distribution operations, transportation planning, and international trade, working for manufacturing firms, retailers, shipping and freight companies, or logistics service providers. This program is delivered in English at Istanbul University, located in İstanbul, Turkey, and runs for 4 years. İstanbul is a major logistics and trade hub connecting European and Asian markets, giving students studying there exposure to a large-scale commercial and transportation environment relevant to the field.
