Master in MA Applied Translation Studies (Part time) 2026/27

At University of East Anglia, Norwich, tuition comes to 23,850 GBP per year.

The module APPLIED TRANSLATION THEORY AND PRACTICE I introduces translation theory alongside real-world client briefs, giving you early hands-on experience with CAT tools and subtitling software. It shows how theory can be applied from day one and sets the tone for the course. This part-time MA is aimed at graduates who already have a strong command of a second language and want to build a professional translation portfolio. Over two years you combine core translation theory, optional digital-media modules and a professional work-experience placement, developing intercultural awareness, mastering translation technologies and preparing for roles such as translator, localisation specialist or interpreter.
