Graduates of the MA Design Innovation and Technology move into roles such as design strategist, innovation manager, product developer or service designer in sectors ranging from tech start-ups to established corporations, and many launch their own enterprises or continue to PhD research.

The programme runs for one year and is divided into two semesters. In the first semester you take core modules that develop design principles, human-centred and inclusive design, and strategic innovation skills, supported by studio workshops and collaborative briefs. The second semester adds modules on immersive technologies, visual communication and entrepreneurship, offers optional electives and culminates in an independent design project.

Facilities include a dedicated maker lab, digital fabrication tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC machines, and SMART design tools for AI and robotics, allowing you to prototype and test ideas throughout the course.
