Master in Ma Design Interior

Tuition is Home: £10,940 for the course / International/EU: £18,600 for the course.

At the heart of the Sheffield Hallam City Campus, you will operate within a purpose-designed studio environment, moving beyond traditional interior design to engage with critical global challenges like the climate crisis, ageing populations, and social inequality. This programme is structured as an interdisciplinary creative hub where interior designers collaborate alongside peers from product, interaction, fashion, graphics, and performance sports design, fostering a rich, cross-pollinating exchange of ideas.

Studio-Led Professional Practice

The course is deeply rooted in real-world application, offering you the chance to work on live projects—such as collaborations with hospice teams on end-of-life environments or partnerships with researchers to develop medical technology. You will refine your professional positionality, moving from initial concept generation and design thinking to managing complex, ethical, user- and planet-centric briefs. By blending high-level research with hands-on prototyping in our extensive workshops—which include CNC routing, 3D printing, and metal/ceramic facilities—you will graduate with the capacity to communicate complex design solutions to diverse stakeholders in industry, culture, and society.
