This Masters programme, delivered in association with the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, allows composers and writers to focus on how new opera is created, developed and performed. The programme admits three composers and three writers each year, who pair into composer-writer teams and create a 25-minute chamber opera fully staged in Milton Court Studio Theatre.

Guildhall's Opera Department provides the singers who form the cast of the chamber operas created on the programme.
