About Master in MA International Tourism Development

The MA in International Tourism Development is a three-semester programme examining the contemporary globalised tourism market and the trends shaping it. Content is organised around four main modules: International Tourism Management, Empirical Research Methods, Business Economics, and International Destination Management. Within these, students explore health and wellness tourism, the development of new international destinations, digitalisation and online booking, customisation through dynamic packaging, social networks in tourism marketing, and ecological tourism. All lectures are delivered in English, and the programme concludes with a Master's thesis. Studies begin in the summer semester. The programme is offered at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in Pfarrkirchen, Germany.
