Graduates commonly work as business analysts, IT project coordinators, systems analysts, or database administrators, bridging the gap between technical teams and business management. This bachelor's program at Istanbul Topkapı University in İstanbul, Turkey runs for 4 years and is taught in English, an important asset given that much enterprise software and technical documentation in this field is produced in English. İstanbul's concentration of banks, technology firms, and corporate headquarters offers students access to organizations actively investing in information systems relevant to coursework and internships. The 4-year curriculum typically combines technical training in databases and programming with business coursework in management and process analysis, reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of the field. Students interested in how technology supports business decisions, rather than pure software development, will find this program relevant preparation for roles that require both technical literacy and organizational understanding.
