Students complete 330 hours of supervised treatments on members of the public in a student-run clinic and community outreach. They study anatomy, biomechanics and orthopedic assessment while applying therapeutic massage techniques. Students learn to assess clients and reduce pain through hands-on clinical practice. The program prepares graduates for municipal licensing and professional membership.

2-year program with 2,200 hours and 330 hours of supervised practicum.

Graduates work as massage therapists in multidisciplinary clinics, rehabilitation centres, health and fitness clubs, health spas, nursing homes, hospitals, hospices, community health clinics, home-based practices, and mobile clinics.

Applicants are not required to meet general admission requirements. English language proficiency must be met through an English course or by meeting Mount Royal’s ELP requirement. Transcripts are only required if used to meet English proficiency.
