Tuition fees are 1,250 CAD for the whole program.

This course prepares journeyperson electricians in Alberta to pass the Master Electrician certification exam administered by the Safety Codes Council (SCC). It focuses on the Canadian Electrical Code, Alberta STANDATA, safety regulations, and workplace guidelines. The training covers residential, commercial, and industrial electrical applications. Students must have prior experience with electrical installations and terminology before enrolling.

The course is delivered online and includes structured lessons, assessments, and a final exam. The exam takes place one to two weeks after course completion at an SCC-designated location. Students need a computer with a webcam, microphone, and stable internet access. They must also purchase the 2024 edition of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1.

Upon successful completion, students can print a proof of completion from their SAIT Continuing Education account. This credential supports eligibility for Master Electrician certification in Alberta. Candidates must have three years of field experience after becoming certified. Those not Alberta-certified need a Red Seal interprovincial qualification.
