Master Ethique — Ethique

Tuition fees are 250 EUR per year.

The Master Éthique, in its general Éthique track, belongs to the field of applied and theoretical ethics. Programs of this kind examine moral reasoning and its application across domains such as medicine, science, business, technology, and public life. Students typically study major ethical theories and traditions, including consequentialist, deontological, and virtue-based approaches, alongside applied topics such as bioethics, research ethics, environmental ethics, and the ethical dimensions of emerging technologies. Coursework often involves case-based analysis, seminar discussion of contested moral questions, and the study of how ethics committees and regulatory bodies operate in practice. Students develop skills in structured argumentation, critical reading of philosophical and policy texts, and the ability to analyze ethical dilemmas from multiple perspectives. Career paths linked to this field include work on ethics committees within hospitals, universities, or research institutions, roles in policy and regulatory bodies, corporate or organizational ethics and compliance positions, and further academic research in philosophy or applied ethics. Some graduates move into science communication or advisory roles where ethical judgment on new technologies or medical practices is required. This program is delivered by Université Paris Cité in Paris, France, at the master's level. It runs for two years, beginning in September, with yearly tuition of 250 EUR. Instruction is in French, so students work through ethical theory and case analysis using French-language readings, seminars, and discussion throughout the two years of study.
