Master Ethique — M1 Ethique (PR527)

At Université Paris-Saclay, tuition comes to 250 EUR per year.

Université Paris-Saclay offers Master Ethique, with its first year, M1 Ethique, taught in French at the university's Paris site. Ethics as an academic field examines questions of right and wrong, moral reasoning, and the principles that guide human conduct, applied here within an academic master's program rather than a single professional specialization. Students in an ethics program of this kind typically study moral philosophy, the history of ethical thought, applied ethics in areas such as medicine, business, technology, or the environment, and the methods used to analyze moral dilemmas in professional and public life. Coursework often includes close reading of philosophical texts, discussion of contemporary ethical debates, and training in constructing and evaluating moral arguments. Many programs in this field also introduce students to the ethical dimensions of scientific research, artificial intelligence, or public policy, reflecting the growing demand for ethical expertise across sectors. Graduates from ethics-focused master's programs commonly find roles as ethics advisors or officers within companies, hospitals, research institutions, or public bodies, as well as positions in journalism, publishing, or education where ethical analysis is valued. Some continue toward doctoral research in philosophy or applied ethics, while others bring their training into fields such as law, health policy, or corporate governance. As the M1, this year forms the first part of a two-year master's degree at Université Paris-Saclay, starting in September, with yearly tuition of 250 EUR. Since the program is taught in French, applicants should be prepared to engage with philosophical texts and discussions in French while studying at the Paris site.
