Master Management Des Systemes D'Information

Tuition fees are 250 EUR per year.

Information systems management (Management des Systèmes d'Information) sits at the intersection of business and technology, focusing on how organizations design, implement and manage the information systems that support their operations and decision-making, and this master's program is offered by Université de Bretagne Occidentale in Brest, France. Students in this field typically study systems analysis and design, database management, enterprise resource planning systems, information technology project management, and the strategic role information systems play in business processes and competitiveness. Coursework generally combines technical study of information systems with management topics such as project planning, change management and business process analysis, preparing students to work at the interface between IT teams and business units. Career paths for graduates include roles as information systems managers, business analysts, IT project managers, and consultants specializing in enterprise systems and digital transformation projects. The program is a two-year master's degree, taught in French, so applicants should be comfortable following coursework that mixes technical and business vocabulary in that language. It starts in September, with yearly tuition of 250 euros. Students weighing this program should have an interest in both technology and organizational management, since information systems management requires understanding not only how systems work technically but also how they fit into the broader operations and strategy of a business.
