Budapest Metropolitan University is an accredited private institute of higher education in Budapest, Hungary. It is formally known as the Budapest Metropolitan University or budapesti Metropolitan Egyetem. Budapest Metropolitan University was established in 2000 with state accreditation. The University has continued to grow, and in 2010 saw a major expansion of their educational portfolio - making it the largest private University in Hungary. The University is open, diversified, and the people are all different and are all accepting of each other. BMU works in an innovative, creative, competitive and market-oriented atmosphere where professional excellence, commitment to continuous development and cooperation is a value. The University focus on the solution, not the problem.

About the Program

To be a chief executive of any organization is a complex challenge, let it be a small enterprise or a large one or organization in the public sector. Managing any of them requires an expert in analyzing, planning, coordinating, solving conflicts and problems, sustaining workflow. We present this approach to our students, so they can cope with all areas of business management, and turn into true leaders of enterprises, all on a professional level.

About the University

Budapest Metropolitan University provides modern buildings, pleasant atmosphere, up to-the-minute technologies with more than 400 computer stations, a language laboratory, a sound studio, a radio and television studio, smart boards, a multimedia library and free WiFi access on the whole area of the campus. It has provided higher educational, adult educational and advanced vocational training courses of a high international and European Union standard in the field of applied communication and business sciences since 2001.

Application process

• Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. Learn more about the application process

• The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

• Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

• After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

• The university may contact you directly for further questions.

• We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

• After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

• Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.

My experience at Budapest Metropolitan University was truly rewarding. The environment is welcoming and diverse, with students from all over the world. The professors, especially in the design department where I studied, are supportive and genuinely want to see you succeed. The hands-on learning approach and creative atmosphere made my time here unforgettable.

One of the best universities in Budapest! The staff and professors are highly professional and always willing to help. They genuinely care about students, creating a supportive and respectful environment. You really feel valued here, not just as a student but as part of a community.

Very modern campus with flexible schedule options and a well-equipped library. The cafeteria has great food, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The front desk is super efficient—getting your student ID sticker takes seconds! Most of the professors are excellent, though, like any university, there are a few exceptions (I’ll name them once I graduate, haha). Definitely feels more up-to-date compared to ELTE.
