Education as a field of study examines how people learn and how teaching, curriculum, assessment and educational institutions are organised to support learning across different settings. Common areas of study include learning theory, curriculum design, educational psychology, assessment and evaluation, education policy, and research methods applied to teaching and learning. The subject combines theoretical grounding in how learning occurs with practical consideration of teaching practice, school leadership and the wider policy environment shaping education systems. This Master of Arts in Education is offered by Middlesex University Dubai, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and taught in English. As a full master's degree, it offers greater depth and breadth than certificate or diploma-level study of education, providing comprehensive preparation for those pursuing advanced roles in teaching, educational leadership or education policy, or seeking to deepen expertise built through prior classroom experience. Education remains a significant sector across the United Arab Emirates, encompassing a wide range of schools, colleges and training providers serving a diverse population. Graduates of a master's programme in education are well positioned to pursue advanced roles in teaching, school leadership, curriculum design and educational policy, applying the depth of theoretical and research knowledge that master's-level study develops, both within the United Arab Emirates and in other education systems internationally.
