Master of Classical Music Performance

For Master of Classical Music Performance, the tuition fee is 63,000 NOK per year.

Students who perform best with the Kilden Vocal Ensemble and the Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra will thrive here. You will refine your artistry, leverage partnerships with Kilden Performing Arts Centre, and gain practical experience through professional internships. This two-year programme, taught at the Department of Classical Music and Music Education, offers two specialisations: Artistic Performance, which includes in-depth fields such as creative performance and ensemble singing, and Artistic Scientific, which combines a musicological and theoretical module with a Master Thesis. Blending solo and ensemble activities, you will develop high-level skills as a musician and instrumentalist, exploring the relations between music theory, history, and performance, while building an academic and professional basis for reflection, creativity, and innovation in music. You will gain valuable knowledge on advanced tasks and projects in the field, as well as research facilitation. The programme also encourages participation in national and international projects, exposing students to a strong professional learning environment.
