Trier's Master in Electrical Engineering programme features an intensive focus on renewable energies, a priority for the university's Institute of Power Electronics and Electrical Drives. This Master's, with its interdisciplinary approach, appeals to students seeking a career in Germany, or with a German partner, and opens the way to diverse fields, from industrial management to academia.

Students are trained in advanced electrical engineering concepts like power systems, control systems, and signal processing, with a strong emphasis on practical, lab-based learning. The programme is structured to include a research project with industry partners, building on the region’s strong industrial network, and an academic thesis, providing graduates with the skills to excel in both industry and research roles.

Particular strengths are offered by the campus' lab facilities and partnerships with regional companies, such as those in the automotive, energy, and aerospace sectors, known for their excellence in the field. The university’s partnership with industry leaders provides students with opportunities for internships, co-operative education, and real-world projects, complementing the academic curriculum.
