Inclusion (SENCo) MA

The Inclusion (SENCo) MA is a 2-year program at the University of Birmingham, focusing on special educational needs and inclusion. This non-degree program is designed for those who want to develop their skills in supporting learners with diverse needs.

The curriculum includes optional modules such as Cross-Cultural Issues in SEND, Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and Mental Health, and Reflective Practice in Meeting the Needs of Learners with SLD/PMLD. A compulsory 60-credit dissertation is also required, allowing students to conduct in-depth research on a topic related to inclusive education.

Graduates of this program can pursue careers as Special Educational Needs Coordinators, Inclusive Education Consultants, Learning Support Teachers, or Disability Support Officers, working in schools, educational institutions, or organizations that support individuals with special needs.
