Matematik

At Boğaziçi University, tuition fees are 9,000 USD per year.

Mathematics is the study of abstract structures, quantities, and patterns, spanning pure theoretical areas as well as applications across science, engineering, and finance. Core coursework typically includes calculus and analysis, linear algebra, abstract algebra, differential equations, and probability and statistics, with proof-based reasoning as a central skill developed throughout the degree. Later years often allow students to specialize in areas such as applied mathematics, numerical analysis, or mathematical logic, and many programs include opportunities for independent study or a research-oriented project. Because mathematics trains students in rigorous logical reasoning and abstract problem-solving, the skills built through the degree transfer readily to many fields. Graduates pursue careers in data science, finance, actuarial work, software development, engineering, and teaching, as well as further graduate study in mathematics or related quantitative disciplines. This bachelor's program is taught in English over 4 years at Boğaziçi University, located in İstanbul, Turkey. English-medium instruction reflects the international character of mathematical research and gives students direct access to standard notation, terminology, and literature used globally in the field. Boğaziçi University is one of Turkey's leading public universities, with a strong mathematics department based in İstanbul known for rigorous theoretical training. Across the four years, students typically move from foundational calculus and linear algebra toward more abstract and specialized coursework in analysis, algebra, and applied topics, building toward a thorough grounding in mathematical reasoning and technique by the time they graduate.
