The programme's curriculum encompasses a range of modules, including Fachdidaktische Grundlagen and Professionsorientierte Forschung und Entwicklung. These modules focus on enhancing students' ability to plan, analyze, and execute mathematics lessons, as well as fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and their applications in education. The programme is designed with a strong emphasis on practical experience, including an Integriertes Semesterpraktikum where students work at a praxis school, supported by faculty and an extensive guide.

The programme culminates in a Masterarbeit, which is often empirically based and conducted within ongoing research projects. This ensures that students are well-prepared for professional careers in mathematics education, equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
