Graduates move into roles such as quantity surveyors, building services engineers, cost controllers or project analysts within construction firms, facilities management companies and specialist consulting practices. The qualification also prepares students for further professional registration or postgraduate study in related fields.

The programme includes a mandatory module called Electrical Installations Measurement (5 credits) which trains students to produce the documentation required for describing and measuring electrical works, from general services and lighting to fire detection and security systems. Additional mandatory and elective units cover Electrical Building Services Technology, Building Information Modelling and Contracts and Procurement, giving a blend of technical, digital and contractual knowledge that reflects current industry practice.
