Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering

A Mechanical Engineering program builds on mathematics and physics to cover statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science, along with machine design and manufacturing methods. Coursework often includes computer-aided design tools and laboratory testing of mechanical components, preparing students to work across sectors that design or maintain mechanical systems. As students progress, the curriculum typically introduces more specialized subjects such as heat transfer, vibrations, mechatronics, and manufacturing processes, giving students a broad foundation across the many subfields of mechanical engineering. Laboratory and workshop sessions are a regular part of the coursework, allowing students to test materials, measure mechanical properties, and operate manufacturing equipment directly. Group design projects are common throughout the program and often culminate in a final-year capstone project, in which students work through the design, analysis, and testing of a mechanical system from start to finish.
