Abdullah Gül University

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering

Kayseri, Turkey Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Mechanical Engineering focuses on the design, analysis, and manufacture of mechanical systems and equipment, ranging from small components to large industrial machinery. Core coursework includes statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, and machine design, complemented by manufacturing processes and computer-aided design tools used throughout the profession. Students apply physical principles to engineering problems, learning how forces act on components, how heat and energy transfer through systems, and how material selection affects a design's performance and durability. Laboratory and workshop sessions give students hands-on experience with measurement instruments and prototyping equipment, connecting theoretical coursework to physical testing and fabrication. Many programs also include coursework in control systems, robotics, and automation, reflecting how mechanical engineering increasingly overlaps with automated manufacturing and mechatronics. Multi-semester design projects teach students to manage a full engineering process, from initial concept through prototyping and testing, often working in teams as they would in industry. Graduates find roles across the automotive, aerospace, energy, and manufacturing sectors, working as design engineers, production engineers, quality engineers, or maintenance and reliability specialists. The broad technical grounding also supports careers in technical sales and project management, where an engineering background is valuable for understanding client needs. This bachelor's program is delivered in English over 4 years at Abdullah Gül University in Kayseri, Turkey. English-medium instruction gives students access to international engineering literature and standards used throughout the mechanical engineering profession. The four-year curriculum builds from foundational science and mathematics coursework toward more applied design and manufacturing coursework in later years of study.
