Antalya Bilim University

Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering

Antalya, Turkey Taught in English Open to international students

About the Program

Mechanical Engineering covers the design, analysis, and manufacturing of mechanical systems, from small components to large machines and industrial equipment. Typical coursework includes statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials science, machine design, manufacturing processes, and control systems, supported by a strong foundation in mathematics and physics. Students learn to analyze forces, motion, heat transfer, and material behavior, and to apply that analysis to designing components and systems that function reliably under real operating conditions. Laboratory work is a standard part of the curriculum, covering areas such as materials testing, thermal and fluid systems, and manufacturing methods, alongside computer-aided design and simulation tools used to model and test mechanical components before they are built. Design projects, often carried out in teams, ask students to work through the full process of specifying a problem, developing a design, and evaluating whether it meets technical requirements. Graduates typically work in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy, and machinery industries in roles such as design engineer, manufacturing engineer, or maintenance and reliability engineer, and many go on to further specialization through graduate study. This bachelor's program is delivered in English over 4 years at Antalya Bilim University, located in Antalya, Turkey. English-medium instruction gives students direct access to the largely English-language engineering standards, technical documentation, and research that underpin mechanical engineering practice internationally. Over the four years, the program moves from mechanics and mathematics fundamentals toward applied design, manufacturing, and thermal-fluid systems coursework.
