Bachelor in Mechanical engineering

Lodz University of Technology delivers its Mechanical Engineering bachelor's programme through the International Faculty of Engineering, in partnership with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, taught in English over four years in Łódź, Poland, with annual tuition of 16000 PLN. The curriculum covers mechanics, automation, control theory, and applications of electronics, combined with practical and theoretical training in the design and operation of modern mechatronic devices. Students learn the fundamentals of construction and the methods used to design mechanical-electronic devices, alongside coursework in biomedical engineering, measurement process automation, advanced technologies, and new materials. The programme also builds proficiency in professional computer software and introduces selected topics in information technology, economics, regulation, and environmental issues. Core subjects include Materials Science, Basic Mechanical Engineering, Computer Aided Design, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Modern Physics, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Design and Maintenance of Machines, Advanced Mechanical Engineering, Automatics and Robotics, Energy Resources and Conversion, and Dynamics of Machines. Every student enrolled at the International Faculty of Engineering is required to complete at least one semester of study abroad, usually the mobility semester in the sixth term. Graduates are prepared to work in industries that manufacture mechanical and mechatronic systems, including electromechanical, automotive, household appliance, aerospace, and machine tools sectors, as well as related industries. Łódź, a major city in central Poland, is home to Lodz University of Technology, whose International Faculty of Engineering is specifically structured to serve international students studying engineering disciplines in English.
