This programme trains individuals to deliver emergency medical care before hospital arrival. It covers responses to injuries and illnesses through classroom learning and hands-on practice. The training suits those working or volunteering with fire rescue, police, industrial teams, or security services. Skills include trauma response, life support, and patient assessment.

The programme includes 88 hours of evening theory classes and practical lab sessions. Real-life simulations take place in an accredited Simulation Hub and two active ambulances. Learning uses synchronous and asynchronous online components along with on-campus sessions. Three certifications are earned: ITLS Basic Provider, BLS Healthcare Provider CPR, and Medical First Responder.

Intakes begin in September or January. Each intake accepts 18 students. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. A valid standard first aid certificate is required. Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. The programme prepares students for further training as a Primary Care Paramedic.
