This two-year full-time program leads to a Diploma in Medical Radiography. It runs for 24 months with no summer breaks. Students train at the Interurban campus and complete clinical placements in hospitals across Vancouver Island. The program combines classroom learning, labs, online courses, and hands-on practice in real healthcare settings. You will work as a surrogate patient to learn positioning techniques and develop interpersonal skills.

You study anatomy, physiology, radiation safety, medical imaging physics, and patient care. Courses include radiographic procedures, pathology, and computed tomography. Clinical placements occur throughout the program, starting with basic experiences and progressing to independent performance of imaging studies. By the final term, you are preparing for national certification and demonstrating full competency.

The next intake is in Fall 2027. Applications open October 1, 2026, and close February 1, 2027. Admission is competitive and based on academic grades and a Program Preparedness Profile. Only domestic students may apply. Graduates enter the workforce in roles such as radiography technologists, with opportunities to specialize in CT, MRI, or breast imaging.
