This program trains medical transcriptionists using online, self-paced learning. Eight required courses and two electives must be completed. Simulated case studies develop skills in transcribing medical reports. Real-world documents from hospitals, clinics, and private practices are used in training.

Medical terminology, transcription fundamentals, keyboarding, and office procedures are covered. Courses teach grammar, style, and formatting for health records. Specialized topics include dental terminology, OHIP billing, and health records management. These help produce accurate, professional medical documentation.

The program runs part-time with intakes in multiple months. An Ontario Secondary School Diploma is required or qualification as a mature student. Course materials are not included and must be bought separately. Early registration is recommended due to high demand.
