Master in Medizininformatik

Graduates of the Medizininformatik programme are well-prepared to work in healthcare settings, using their skills in artificial intelligence and health app design. Students at Campus Zweibrücken learn how to work with informatics and medical systems from the first semester, with the option to specialise in either 'Digitales Gesundheitswesen' or 'Medizintechnische Informatik'. They benefit from a strong emphasis on practical experience, including a mandatory internship in a healthcare facility and access to well-equipped labs.

Students are typically employed in fields related to healthcare, such as designing health apps and using AI for medical diagnostics. The programme's focus on both general informatics and specific medical applications prepares students for a range of roles, from software development to research. Students gain 210 ECTS and are eligible to proceed to one of the university's master's programmes.
