Mining Engineering Technology

This programme is designed for recent high school graduates and career changers interested in mining operations. Students learn to apply scientific principles to mining engineering tasks. They gain skills in geology, surveying, ventilation, safety, and project management. Hands-on training includes labs, simulations, and a co-op work term.

Two years, full-time, on-campus. Includes a co-op work term. 60 credits total.

Graduates work as mining engineering technologists, mining survey technologists, or mining technologists in surface and underground mining operations.

Grade 12 with minimum 60% in Pre-Calculus 30 or combined average of 60% in Math A30, B30, and C30. English language requirement for international applicants. Co-op work permit required for international applicants. Valid Saskatchewan driver's license needed before co-op work term.

On-campus, full-time, two years.
