A flagship residential event held each June serves as the cornerstone of the DBA experience, providing a vital environment for researchers to present their evolving work via poster sessions, engage with guest lecturers, and participate in organizational visits. This programme is meticulously structured to bridge the gap between high-level professional practice and rigorous academic research, specifically catering to senior professionals and executives who seek to challenge the assumptions underpinning their work.

Professional Research Integration

Rather than a traditional taught doctorate, this course emphasizes the practical application of research paradigms, epistemology, and ontology to real-world business contexts. Students navigate a demanding first year characterized by three core modules—focusing on literature review, research philosophy, and design—before transitioning into a significant pilot study. The curriculum is designed to foster a community of inquiry, supported by one-to-one supervisory teams and a formal 'Milestone Day' that confirms readiness for the final thesis phase. The culmination of this journey is a 55,000-word thesis that synthesizes professional experience with advanced scholarly investigation, ensuring candidates emerge with a doctoral-level command of their chosen field.
