The programme runs over two years. In the first year you attend taught modules, choosing from a range of optional subjects offered in September and January such as Sustainability for Construction Professionals, Advanced Design of Reinforced Concrete Structures, Geotechnical Applications and Project Management. The second year is spent on a paid industry placement, allowing you to apply the theory you have studied in a real-world setting.

It is intended for civil engineering graduates or professionals who already hold a 2:2 honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in an engineering discipline, and for engineers from other specialities who wish to acquire civil and construction management expertise. The course builds technical knowledge, applied mathematics and professional skills required for roles in construction, transport, water and wastewater sectors.
