Designed for aspiring practitioners, this programme bridges the divide between complex psychological theory and the high-stakes environment of the criminal justice system. If you are driven to understand the multifaceted roots of criminal behaviour—and how to translate that understanding into actionable, ethical interventions—this course provides the rigorous foundation required for a career in forensic settings.

Distinctive Focus

The curriculum is uniquely built around the realities of professional practice. Rather than purely academic study, you will explore:

• The psychological assessment of offenders and the design of effective treatment interventions.
• The intricacies of police investigation, including best practices for working with vulnerable victims and witnesses.
• The systemic challenges within prisons, secure hospitals, and the probation service.
• The realities of working as an expert witness and the legal frameworks governing the courtroom.

By blending reflective practice with real-world case studies, you will develop the critical employability skills necessary for roles in the NHS, the Prison Service, or private consultancy. The programme maintains a strong global perspective, ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds can contextualise their learning within the forensic frameworks of their own countries while mastering international standards.
