Clinical midwifery placements form 50% of your course structure, providing an immersive, practice-led environment where you gain the proficiencies necessary for professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This programme is specifically tailored for existing Adult Nurses registered with the NMC who possess at least 12 months of professional experience and are looking to transition or expand their expertise into the field of midwifery.

Blended Learning Design

The curriculum utilizes a flexible, self-motivated approach, with 80% of theoretical content delivered online, allowing you to effectively balance your professional and personal commitments. The remaining 20% of study takes place on campus at our Collegiate site, where you will engage in high-fidelity simulation using specialist equipment, including birthing mannequins and neonatal resuscitation models, to bridge the gap between academic theory and clinical practice.
