Students studying the Master-Fernstudium in Informatik (Aufbaustudium) at Hochschule Trier are bound by the General and Programme-Specific Regulations, introduced in 2016 and updated with the latest rules in 2023. These regulations are structured to guide candidates through a structured process of enrolment and completion, from the Summer Semester 2016 to the academic year 2023/24.

The regulations cover various aspects, including the transition of students from the 2011 regulation to the 2023 regulation, which will be effective from the Winter Semester 2023/24. Additionally, the Abschlussordnung (AO 2023) outlines the requirements for students who have not completed their studies by August 31, 2026, ensuring a smooth transition to the new Fach-PO 2023.
