The BA Music is organised over three full-time years. In the first year students build core skills in performance, composition, music theory and history, supplemented by ensemble tuition and studio work. The second year expands into specialised pathways such as music business, community music, therapy and digital production, while maintaining regular performance and composition workshops. In the final year students develop a major project or portfolio, undertake placements and prepare for professional work.

The programme suits applicants who have already achieved at least ABB-BBB at A-level including Music, or the equivalent of Grade 8 practical standard, and who wish to continue performing, composing or researching music in any genre. Candidates with a strong interest in music technology, education or industry roles, and who have completed relevant BTEC or IB qualifications, are also welcomed.
