Diploma of College Studies (DEC)

At Cégep de Maisonneuve, applications for the Sep 2027 intake close on Aug 31, 2027, and the tuition fee is 1,030 CAD for the whole program.

This programme is a four-session pre-university college diploma in Natural Sciences with an enriched, interdisciplinary focus. It runs full-time on campus from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Students follow a stable group through science and math courses, with a dedicated weekly enrichment module. The programme prepares students for university admission across multiple fields, including physics, architecture, and engineering.

Students study core subjects like calculus, general chemistry, mechanics, and integrated philosophy and writing courses. The curriculum emphasizes real-world application through lab work, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary themes such as artificial intelligence, biostatistics, energy transformation, and human anatomy. All foundational content is condensed to fit within the standard course load, with no extra hours required.

Admission is offered only in the fall. Applicants must have completed 5th-year secondary school courses in math, chemistry, and physics, or their equivalents. The average cost for the first year is $1,030, covering registration, general and specific materials. The programme is designed for highly motivated students seeking a strong academic foundation and access to competitive university programmes.
