Bachelor in Natural Sciences for Sustainability

The Bachelor's programme in Natural Sciences for Sustainability at the University of Bremen teaches the fundamentals of biology, geosciences, and physics through an interdisciplinary lens. The programme centres on topics including resources, the water cycle, energy, climate change, and biodiversity, and emphasises the interactions within environmental systems as a basis for holistic approaches to solutions. The programme runs over 6 semesters, beginning in the winter semester. The first two years provide a broad, solution-oriented foundation. Students then choose a specialisation in biology, geosciences, or physics. An optional semester abroad is available, and cooperations with the Alfred Wegener Institute and the Marum give students early opportunities to apply what they have learned in professional research settings. The programme is taught in English at the University of Bremen in Bremen, Germany.
