The Bachelor of Nursing program at Jan Grodek State University in Sanok runs for three years and is offered by the university's Department of Nursing. The program's guiding motto, attributed to Helena Radlińska, states the department's aim as providing a high level of care for all and helping students realize their full potential. Sanok is a town in southeastern Poland, and Jan Grodek State University serves the region as a public higher education institution offering programs across health and other fields. A three-year nursing degree of this kind typically combines classroom instruction in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and related biomedical sciences with supervised clinical placements in hospitals and clinics, preparing graduates for direct patient care. Nursing training generally covers health promotion, disease prevention, and the practical skills needed to support patients through illness, recovery, and, where relevant, end-of-life care. Graduates commonly go on to work in hospital wards, outpatient clinics, community health services, and long-term care settings, with opportunities for further specialization as their careers develop. Given the range of clinical and community roles nurses fill, graduates of this kind of program can expect varied day-to-day work rather than a narrow set of repeated tasks. Applicants considering this program at Jan Grodek State University should note that, according to the university, full nursing studies are not currently offered in English; candidates interested in studying in Polish need to demonstrate Polish language proficiency as part of the admissions process.
