It is designed for students preparing to provide direct health care to children and adults across hospital wards, general and specialist clinics, emergency medicine departments, institutional and social care facilities, health resorts, and community or industrial health care settings. Courses take place in specially equipped labs where students practice nursing procedures under simulated conditions before transferring these skills to real-life settings during work placements in various healthcare institutions. The curriculum includes anatomy, biophysics, primary health care, pharmacology, physiology, radiology, physical examination, surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine, anaesthesiology, psychiatry, intensive care, gynaecology, obstetrics, wound management, rehabilitation, nephrology, paediatrics, geriatrics, gastroenterology, and allergology, among other subjects. The program covers both theoretical and practical aspects of nursing, addressing health promotion, preventive health care, and health education alongside a broad scope of treatment, rehabilitation, and nursing procedures. It combines basic medical sciences and social sciences with foundational nursing care and a cross-section of specialist nursing care connected to internal medicine, paediatrics, surgery, midwifery, gynaecology, psychiatry, critical care, rehabilitation, and neurology. This structure mirrors the pattern found in many English-language nursing programs in Poland, where simulation-based skills training is paired with hospital and clinic placements so that graduates are ready to enter supervised or independent nursing practice.
